Anti-Retaliation Policy
In the business world, a culture of transparency, trust, and ethical conduct is fundamental for ensuring a healthy and thriving work environment.
The purpose of this customizable policy, created by Maria Carrisa Sanchez for TechRepublic Premium, is to provide guidelines for prohibiting and preventing any form of retaliation against individuals who, in good faith, report misconduct, engage in protected activities, or participate in investigations.
Featured text from the policy:
FILING A COMPLAINT
Employees who believe they have experienced retaliation or witnessed retaliatory actions should promptly report the incident to their immediate supervisor or next level of management, if they have reason to believe their immediate supervisor is involved, and the HR department.
Anonymous reporting channels will also be made available to encourage open disclosure without fear of reprisal.
The company will handle all retaliation reports professionally, swiftly and as confidentially as possible. Because of the damaging nature of retaliation to the victims and the entire workforce, aggrieved employees are strongly urged to use this procedure. However, filing groundless or malicious reports is an abuse of this policy and will be treated as a violation.
