Anti-Discrimination Policy
Despite heightened efforts to address workplace diversity, equity and inclusion, many workers are still experiencing discrimination at work.
Discrimination undermines workers’ enthusiasm, dedication and involvement, which may lead to decreased productivity. This policy makes it clear that an organization does not tolerate any form of workplace discrimination and sets standards and expectations for acceptable employee behavior.
The purpose of this customizable policy, written by Maria Carrisa Sanchez for TechRepublic Premium, is to provide guidelines for anti-discrimination within an organization.

The company acknowledges that discrimination can occur unconsciously, since everyone has prejudices that can be complicated to uncover and resolve. If the company determines that an employee is discriminating unintentionally, this employee will receive help through education and awareness programs to recognize and counter existing cognitive biases. However, the company may demote or dismiss them if the individual refuses to improve their conduct.
