While the Microsoft survey mostly focused on employee motivations for using AI, other research by The Conference Board asked employees about the specific ways they are using AI to enhance their work. DRAFTING WRITTEN CONTENT
Creating written content is by far the most popular way employees use AI in the workplace, with 68% of AI users saying they use it for this reason. This is no doubt driven by the accessibility of generative AI tools such as ChatGPT, which is currently free and open to the public. Employees use these tools to generate a draft of blog posts, emails and other content, then edit it to fix any mistakes and inaccuracies.
