  If I have a virus should I download malwarebytes to stop incoming attacks and get rid of viruses?

    Malwarebytes isn’t a program, it’s a company that makes several programs. Which one are you talking about?

    What antivirus are you running now? And do you think it’s not good enough? Then better choose another.

    All apps that do such scans and blocks only remove and block attacks and malware/viruses that they know about.

    Also, many infections are installed by the user. User reads the instruction to disable antivirus to install the crached version of LightWave Dungeon Master 1997 and that brings up the other answer:

    Only you can stop the fire.
